California is world renowned for its natural beauty and outdoor recreation. Camping in a State or National Park, is an excellent way to experience California. There are hundreds of campgrounds that accommodate tents and recreation vehicles (RVs). California camping provides access to a range of other activities including fishing, hiking, jeeping, mountain bike riding plus hiking and backpacking.
