    Saltwater protection at its best!
I ordered a pair of the Aquapac cases for my kayaking/dive radios as my first purchase with Altrec and am pleased with both. The Aquapacs are made of a supple vinyl-type material with a nicely done top design allowing the radio volume and squelch to be adjusted by even my kids with no problem. The cases are clipped onto the kayaks and sit submerged a great deal of the time on the bottom of the kayaks in a small pool of saltwater and have never shown any leakage. The voice transmission through the material is perfect. I even dropped them into the ocean and they float well too! On cleanup they are sprayed down with a hose and direct water pressure hasn't caused them to leak either. I would definitely recommend an Aquapac radio case wherever protection is needed. Good buy that stands up to its promises.

    Aquapac is leakproof!!
Always a good idea to put a VHF in a case even though they are waterproof. The aquapac cases allow the user to not have to remove the radio from the case. I have found these are leakproof even when submerged a great deal of the time. Well worth the money.
