Supreme midlayer
These is one of those pieces we can all use: decently weatherproof outer layer in coolish conditions, and warm/cozy midlayer when things get uber wet or cold. I've used this piece for everything from snowshoeing and hiking in moderate cold to trail running in the very cold. Hood has no adjustments but fits surprisingly well, and when hood not in use it makes a plush neck gaiter. Little details like the free flowing zippers and the light fleece on the handwarmer pockets make this even more special. Warmth to weight ratio is excellent, especially for a synthetic, and outer shell holds its own in most weather you'll face out and about town. Fit and finish top notch.

Awesome Atom Lt.
Read the reviews. This jacket is awesome. Im not going to give you all the details. You will find them in the glowing reviews. Im up to my eyeballs in Arcteryx & Mammut jackets because they are the best quality. The Atom lt. is my all time favorite for mid level & stand alone. It is incredibly warm and light and looks outstanding. Hate to admit it but I bought 3 when I heard Arcteryx was going to stop making it after this year. Even if that turns out to not be true, I will still have this item in my quiver for years.

Light yet warm
When I first got this jacket jacket I didnt think it would be warm enough for what I needed it for. Boy was I wrong. It is extremely warm, much warmer than I thought it was going to be. The other nice thing is how fast I warmed up after putting it on. Its almost instant warmth. The jacket has a really snug fit which I think adds to the speed at which you begin to warm up. Some other jackets from other brands Ive tried fit looser, and as a result, I took longer to warm up and didnt seem quite as warm. I was also a little suspect of the outer fabric; it seemed too thin to be able to be durable. It is more durable and also more stretchy than I expected. I still think one needs to be careful if using this jacket continously as an outer layer. I also wanted to add my two cents about the Coreloft insulation versus primaloft one insulation. While I dont think Coreloft is warmer than Primaloft, I think it is about AS warm. I expected it to be noticely less warm than Primaloft, but it absolutely holds it own. Overall one of my most useful and versatile jacket.
