Arc'teryx Men's Kappa AR Pant

Throw on the Arc'teryx Men's Kappa AR Gore WindstoperPant and protect yourself against cold alpine air. Designed for serious winter warmth, these windproof insulated pants make chairlift rides, hanging around cold camps or enduring long belays much more fun. Arc'teryx made these windproof pants with more durable Gore Windstoper fabrics which are integrated with Primaloft Sport insulation for quilt-free uniform warmth. Adjust the waist to find the proper fit, and unzip the full-separating side zippers when you need to remove this Arc'teryx pant over your shoes, or ventilate your legs. A reinforced seat and knees combine with a DWR finish to take a beating in the outdoors and improve your comfort in sketchy conditions. Pull the cuff drawcord tight to keep cold weather out, and spend your days in the mountains playing and having fun not worrying about how to stay warm.

  • Windproof/breathable high-level warmth
  • Adjustable waist
  • Full separating side zippers
  • Cuff drawcord
  • Reinforced seat and knees
  • Waist pant with front "belay" fly
  • DWR finish

warm and toasty and very breathable
can't think of one bad thing to say about these pants. the shell material is pretty close to waterproof as i wore them for 8 hours in a snow storm and i spent about 2 of those hours sitting / laying / digging into snow with them and they never got wet. I would buy these again in a heartbeat

Perfect for mountaineering and cold resort skiing
The level of quality and design detail of these pants is off the charts, which is typical of Arcteryx. Mine have seen 30+ days of resort skiing and many mid-winter mountaineering overnights and they still look like new. The synthetic insulation always seems to be dry and is very warm without being too puffy. The windstopper fabric works as advertised and is just waterproof enough to let you sit on snow without worrying about it. I use these as an outer layer while mountaineering so I don't carry fleece pants and can layer up quickly without taking off my boots or anything. Just thermals, softshells, and my Kappas and the system is dialed.
