Carhartt Men's Duck Chore Coat - Blanket Lined
Work never stops in winter, and that's why you need a durable and insulated coat like this Blanket-Lined Duck Chore Coat for men by Carhartt. This rugged winter outerwear has been a decades-old favorite among professionals in the construction, transportation and manufacturing industries, but it's an ideal choice for outdoor work around your house or farm. The 12-ounce cotton duck fabric originated from Dutch "doek" or linen canvas, a tightly woven fabric that outlasts ordinary canvas in durability and weather resistance. Carhartt triple-stitched the seams throughout the coat to minimize wear. The Duck Chore Coat is so well made that it's easy to see why workers have worn only one Carhartt coat throughout their entire careers. The internal blanket lining features a woven blend of acrylic and polyester that facilitates moisture transfer away from inner layers. This blended fabric also helps retain body heat even if the entire coat is immersed in water.

Reviews - Carhartt Men's Duck Chore Coat - Blanket Lined
My son purchased this coat on line but not knowing he ordered an x-large tall and not a regular x-large. It was a bit too big so we needed to return it for a smaller size. The purchase was quick and easy and had the coat within a few days. Then the return process simple and quick also. He is so excited to get the coat back so he can wear it. He keeps asking when will it be delivered. Glad we purchased this coat and I would recommend ordering from Altrec.com to everyone.
Carhart Jacket sizing
I am 6' 3" and 240lbs. Across the nipple line Im 51-52 inches and from the point of the wrist to my shoulder my arm measures 25 inches. I wear 38inch waist with a little "dunlop" hehheh I wear a 52 Long suit jacket. I have a little gut, but nothing that stops me from seeing my feet :). I have long arms and fairly broad shoulders but Im more of a swimmer vs a body builder in physique. I wear XL Tall Tshirts and polo shirts, I have a hard time with a lot of the yuppie retail stuff cause the sleeves and torso are made so short. I want to help anyone coming behind me from having to go through multiple size attempts. The Large Tall Coat fits me well (like is was cut for me), the XL Tall is 4 inches bigger in the chest and is good if Im wearing bibs or layers in real cold weather, the XXL Tall is HUGE its 8 inches larger around than the Large Tall and my wife was able to get inside with me (I wear XXL sweatshirts and sweaters all the time, depending on the manufacturer). I kept 2 sizes of the "Chore Coat": The Large Tall is my walk around town, in and out of cars and really has a nice fitted/tailored look that in the black version really boarders on dressy with the gold buttons (I wish there had been a silver button option on this one). The XL Tall is for WORKING outside in the cold and weather. I can wear bibs under it and it leaves room for another jacket or large bulky sweater for layers. I cant close the Large Tall comfortably if Im wearing bibs or a really bulky sweater. I ended up keeping both the Large Tall and the XL Tall! I got such a good deal here, and that Large just looks sharp when I go into the office (my kids are already calling it the "Capitan's Coat"). I have always been a durability over style, Im really happy I stumbled into the Large as a casual dress coat. This coat still seems to be every bit as good as the one its replacing, I dont see any compromise is durability or stitching from the one that I had for years and years and is still wearable but the liner is wearing out in spots. I look forward to trying to wear these out!
The Jacket is exactly what I expected. I'm a welder and use it when working out doors, great for laying if you order a size larger. I like this jacket style over other carhartt style.
