It runs small because its made to be a part of a base layering system.If you want to use it as a over garment,order at least one size larger.

Very nice but runs small
This is a very nice, comfortable, and warm fleece mock for cool days. However, I ordered a large thinking it would fit my 5'10 195 lb frame, and it does but it is a bit snug in the chest, shoulders and arms, not leaving much room for layering. I would definitely order one size larger....in fact I think I will.
