A "Dressy" Chaco
With this being my ninth (yes, ninth) pair of Chacos, I was excited to see that they are expanding their line to include 'dressier' leather options. I immediately purchased these to go with my nicer outfits and black leather purse and Chaco does not disappoint! The only minor complaints that I have is that the straps will need to stretch out a bit and conform to your foot, but this usually happens after one wear. Also, I ordered the black ones and the first time I wore them, I got caught in a downpour. The leather held up amazingly well but some of the dye coloured the soles of my feet a nice charcoal grey colour. : (
These sandals might look like flip-flops but, contrary to most flat-sole flip-flops, the soles provide great arch support. The separation of the big toe also helps relax tired feet. These sandals are both comfortable and stylish enough so that you can wear them on a variety of occasions with casual or more dressy outfits. I've walked around in them a bit, and they hold up on longer walks. I did get a blister on the inside of my foot the first time I wore them for a longish walk, but I'm guessing that was just the leather was adjusting to my foot.
wear to work chaco
I bought these in black to wear to work with dressy capris and summer skirts/dresses---they fit the bill! I've only worn them a few times, and so far, no complaints. I have another pair of Ecotreads that gave me blisters---nothing yet with these. The toe strap is a tad snug, but I feel it has stretched some after wearing it. All Chaco's I've had (4 total) have all been very true to size. Great brand and worth every penny. I wear a size 9, yet I'm a thin 5'5, so I'm always worried about my feet looking huge in sandals. These are very flattering. I would highly recommend these particular ones to those adventure girls who have to look at least look semi professional at work and hate heels with a passion!
