Columbia Women's Drainmaker Water Shoe

The fully drainable Women's Drainmaker Water Shoe from Columbia Sportswear lets you catch the fish and release the stream. On a recent fishing trip in the Florida Keys, we spotted guys wearing running shoes in and around the water. We figured they could do without the Soggy Shoe Syndrome, so we created a hybrid shoe that combines the lightweight comfort of a running shoe with the quick-dry capabilities of a water shoe. The upper features breathable open cell mesh with a durable TPU toe cap, while the Techlite midsole has built-in drainage ports in the heel and forefoot to allow water to instantly escape. Wet/dry traction is assured by a siped, lugged outsole with Omni-Grip Wet Grip rubber for sure footing on slick surfaces.

Great sneaker/water shoe combo!
I bought my drainmakers specifically for a zip lining trip which would involve a lot of walking up stairs, and landing in water. The shoes were very lightweight, comfortable and drained quickly. I even swam with my shoes on and they drained promptly when I was on land again. I never felt like I had puddles sloshing around in my shoes. I did a lot of walking in them and they were very comfortable with the exception of rubbing against my heel and taking off some skin, but this was the very first time I wore them, and on bare skin so I assume they just need to be worn out a bit...either way, it was nothing that a quick band-aid couldn't fix. Love them, worth the money, will get a lot of use out of them.

Light and comfortable!
Very nice colors, comfortable, light unfortunately I didn't have a chance to wear them yet so I don't know how they "behave" in the water but look well made also good for walking just for every day use.. Recommended

Drainmaker, hear me roar!
...in triumph! I wore these for the Irvine Mud Run 2011, and they were fantastic. While people were "Augh!"-ing and lamenting their poor feetsies, their lost shoes and socks (literally, shoes were stuck in mud), I was just trotting along in my Drainmakers, feeling like I was running in a dream. The shoes are light, very comfortable, and they clean up really well. I'd recommend these to anyone who hikes and passes through streams too--the grip is great.
