Like its Gold cousin, the Crescent Moon Silver 17 Snowshoe is one big-daddy snowshoe. It is recommended for snowshoers and their gear (that's a big picnic) up to 300lbs. But the shoes themselves are very lightweight and even if you're carrying a load you'll appreciate the simple cam-locking buckle binding system and lightweight maneuverability of the Silver 17. New for the 09/10 season is the more durable decking featured on all the Silver series of shoes. Although the Silver 17s are one of the largest snowshoes on the market they're by far lighter and easier to navigate than traditionally shaped shoes and feature a binding system that won't freeze or come loose even in the wettest conditions.
