Reviews - Eagles Nest Outfitters DryFly Rain Tarp
worked great in light rain with driving winds..
got to use this tarp twice so far with the hammock system.. once with light rain and 30mph winds overnight, kept me totally dry and stayed in place even with the wind.. the other time was just with the threat of rain, but since its so easy to set up it was better than having to wake up in the middle of the night to do it. I've used it two other times to keep gear dry (set up closer to the ground) and it worked like a charm.. would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend.
Great product!- It's a fine addition to consider with any ENO Hammock. For the price, it provides great coverage and easy setup. I only made the mistake of introducing my girlfriend to it She now wants me to carry it on all our day hikes.
What an excellent product to add to the hiking/backpacking eqipment. As with any new piece of gear there is a bit of a learning curve, but with practice, setup became easier with each use. It performs as advertised and is of good construction with excellent weather protection for its size, so much so that the tent you see in the picture was used for storage and changing of clothes, even with 20-30 mph winds and light rain. Works well with the ENO Singlenest or as a stand alone shelter for a rest on the trail or in a campsite, it can be set up using trekking poles when trees are not available. I highly recommend the DryFly, it is money well spent!
