Good for running
I've had ECCO shoes for more than ten years now, can't remember how many ECCO shoes I had. I bought Biom A 2.1 Running Shoe for my excising. It's very comfortable to wear, durable and affordable. Highly recommended.

Didn't work for me
This is a difficult shoe to review for a couple reasons. On the one hand, it is a beautifully crafted, extremely well-made running shoe, probably the highest quality in terms of materials and workmanship of any running shoe I've ever owned. So it gets 5 stars in that regard. However, it's performance as a running shoe gets about 2 stars. Although the fit is excellent and feels very good on the foot, the shoe has virtually no cushioning to speak of and feels extremely hard underfoot when running, particularly in the heel, but also in the forefoot. I experienced heel pain even when doing short test runs (10-20 mins.). I never felt comfortable running in the shoe due to this lack of cushioning. I understand this shoe is categorized as a "minimalist" shoe, but oddly, it feels more like a normal training shoe on the foot, and certainly isn't super lightweight at 10.5 oz. Yet when running, it offers less underfoot than a traditional lightweight racing flat, most of which have more cushioning yet weigh significantly less than these shoes. So I have to ask myself, "what's the point of wearing these shoes" when I can find many lighter weight running shoes with more cushioning and which feel better. Cannot recommend.
