Filson Padded Laptop Computer Bag / Briefcase

Another quality Filson product
Great laptop bag, has enough space for note pads, papers and other standard size stationery. I use it a lot for air travel. I particularly like the external pocket with the zipper, you can quickly access your passport, tickets, cell phone on the run. I used to have another Filson bag before this one and after 9 years of regular use the leather shoulder strap broke. I called Filson company and they replaced it for me for free. Overall a very high quality product and should last for years before it breaks. I would gladly recommend this item to anyone wanting a sturdy, handsome padded laptop case.

Can't find anything wrong with Filson
I am hooked on Filson bags. I have the Medium and small duffle and just purchased the padded laptop briefcase. It is a large bag. I can fit my 1.1 liter stanley thermos standing upright and horizontal. I also take a week of lunch (4 healthy choice meals and a sleeve of english muffins plus my coffee thermos) every Monday. The bag has so much space in the main compartment it is great, but is also has small pockets on either end of the bag under where the shoulder strap attaches to the bag, an open compartment on the back, and open compartment in the snap for the rain flap, and then a large zipper pocket on the outside front. Two complaints. The shoulder strap is entirely too long or at a very minimum needs more holes so you can shorten it more. I plan to have 5-7 more holes punched by a buddy that does leather work. The second complaint is that the pockets in the zipper pouch on the front are open so everything ends up in the bottom of the bag. I may end up have a few of them sewn or fabric glued shut, but I am going to wait and see if I need to do that. I have received so manp compliments on my bag. I would say that it is a great bag for men. I think it would look weird if a woman was carrying it. The smaller briefcase would be better for a woman. This is a very large and heavy (because of its durability) bag. I am buying the sportsman bag next. Filson is an awesome company making INCREDIBLE products. Altrec has been great on every order I have made (5 orders now) -- quick and responsive. I recommend both Filson and Altrec.

"Might as well have the best"!
I have carried this bag through many airports over the years with no damage to my laptop! TSA has had no problems with this functionally durable computer bag and my 17" laptop fits! "Might as well have the best"! You will never have to buy another computer bag, unless your airline "misplaces" it!
