I had a pair of Garmont hikers for the past 5 years & have traveled around the world & my own city & they are the most comfortable, durable & stylin' hikers out there. the new ones are even better looking with much more refined eyelets & design & color & more toe room - ready made comfort - no "breaking" in ready for many more world adventures!

So far I have worn these shoes nearly everyday for 3 weeks. The shoes are very comfortable and feel like they were broken in the first time I wore them. They are a softer shoe, so if you prefer a shoe that is firmer this is not the shoe for you. The toe box is a little wider than other shoes I have tried, but that works for my narrow foot as my toes spread when I walk or hike. They are lightweight with a covered toe which is where I normally rip my hikers as I like to hike rocky areas. Also, the tongue is an angled fit preventing tongue slippage. My running shoes have this and it is great, providing a better fit. So far, I love them.

The Shasta is a great shoe to wear around town and also for everything from light hiking to golf. It has reasonable arch support, lots of room in the toe box and the foot bed is comfy without being too soft. The shoe is attractive too, for what it is. I like it so much I ordered another pair. It is true to size.
