I purchased these boots in spring because I was going to do a lot of serious hiking over the summer in the Balkans. When they arrived, I just put them on and concluded they were "fine" and forgot about them. My first hiking trip was 30 km in the mountains, in treacherous terrain and no time to rest, in the boots I had never even worn around the house! They were so perfect that I only remembered the fact they had not even been broken in after I returned and realized I had hiked in brand new boots. I did a lot of hiking in them since and they are simply amazing. I am not sure about the "durability" mark, because the tests I put them through are bound to finish them off sooner or later, but as far as comfort and protection of the foot go in any kind of terrain, they are just fantastic. I have not waded a river in them, but they've been through mud and survived other calamities. Excellent boot!
