Reviews - Keen Men's Glarus Hiking Boots
Initially I thought about returning the boots, but once I got through a week of breaking them in, I now love them. I fell in love with my Keen Pyrenees boots, but they stopped making them. These seem like they will be a great replacement. The soles seem to be better then previous keens I have owned. The heel is a bit elevated and forward leaning, but you get used to it with time and learn to like it. Initially I purchased some Vasque Wasatch GTX, the toe box was too big and the boots were quite heavy. They got returned for these thankfully.
Solid hiking boot
I bought these mid-summer, and did not wear them too much until fall, where I did more hiking. I primarily walk on gravel paths and some trails that are less defined, and found this boot to be very comfortable with solid cushioning and a surprisingly light feel. plenty of room for my toes, which is sometimes a problem for me. Kept my feet completely dry and warm. I have not gone on any extended multi-day hikes with these boots yet, but I feel that they would be good for a weekend trip, based on how they have performed so far.
Good Solid Boots
I purchased the Keen Glarus hiking boots recently to use in field trials for my dog, and also as a warm weather hunting boot. I wore them this past weekend at a field trial and the boots were great. They are light weight and very comfortable. In the early morning the field were wet from the morning dew and my feet stayed dry. I also ended up walking in water around a slough and the boots remained dry. I have other Keen shoes/boots and like the fit and quality. I'm very happy with the purchase. As with most other Keen shoes/boots I ordered a 1/2 size larger than normal.
