Keen Men's Newport H2 Sandal
From the rivers, to the beach, to the boat, the Men's Keen Newport H2 Sandal might like water more than you do. Everything about it screams for the wet stuff. The washable polyester webbing upper and hydrophobic quick dry mesh lining are treated with Aegis Microbe Shield, an environmentally friendly anti bacterial and anti fungal treatment that will keep you and your sandals fresh and odor free. The metatomical EVA footbed and compression molded EVA midsole make for light landings as you hop on to the beach from the bow of your boat, and Keen's patented toe protect will guard against rocks and other hazards. Then there's the non-marking rubber outsole with razor siping, to prevent slips on wet surfaces, working with the multi-directional lug pattern for precise footing during your jungle adventures. Keen does find this shoe runs about size small, so keep that in mind. When you know your feet will spend plenty of time in the sun, sand and water, have them spend it in the Newport H2 Sandal for men from Keen as well.

Reviews - Keen Men's Newport H2 Sandal
Fits like it always did, great sport shoes
I choose the size of the Keens that I was replacing, and the fit was perfect. It is the same size as the hiking boots and other shoes I wear: 11. The Keens sandals really kick butt in all matters of sport. On the sailboat, they grip like crazy and protect the feet from boat bites. Would be nice if there were more heel protection. On the beach and in the water, they do gather sand very easily, so expect to be emptying them occasionally. On a moderate hiking trail, they will get you through. They will pick up a small stone. Keeping them cinched tightly helps with this, and is important for stability on uneven ground. No ankle support of course. Over rough terrain, they will get you by but are no substitute for boots. They do get a bit "hot" temp-wise on the soles. When wet, they are a nice cooler for the feet! Takes a good couple hours in hot sunshine to dry. Overnight in humid camp, will not dry. Overnight in hotel room, almost dry. Pricing seems high, but I guess its a matter of supply and demand. I always wish the tread would last longer in shoes, but I guess to maintain the performance of the grip, they need to use the softer rubber.
Well designed and made,as usual with Keen. They look good, are comfortable and function great. Highly recommended.
Perfect for an easy hike
Took these with me on my trip to Alaska as my do just about everything shoe (driving, walking, tide pooling, hiking etc). Only thing this shoe isn't good for is off trail - where i switched to more rugged hiking boots. They are great in the wet or dry and just feel very comfortable. The toe box rubber adds for some protection so you aren't stubbing your toe like in other sandal type shoes.
