Reviews - Keen Women's Gypsum Hiking Shoes
I have several styles of Keens, from flip flops to winter shoes, and have been pleased with every pair. These Keens do not disappoint. They are comfortable right out of the box, and require no break in. Walked my dogs for a 2 mile hike right after opening my package with no foot fatigue or hot spots. I wear a size 8.5 in everything else, but for Keens I wear a 9 in almost all styles (with the exception of the Whisper which I could wear an 8.5), and the size 9 in the Gypsum was perfect. The toe area is wide and the arch support is perfect. The ties stay closed without having to double knot, and maybe I'm lazy, but I sure wish they'd have the toggle close instead like my kids' Skyline trail shoes. I've tested these out in puddles and very wet lawns, and so far my feet have stayed dry. They seem to vent well, but a pair of moisture wicking socks definitely help. I bought them primarily to walk my dogs daily in all kinds of weather. I plan to wear these to Disney this summer since I hear it's recommended to wear comfy, waterproof shoes. I'm sure they'll be perfect!
Not so forgiving
Purchased women's Gypsum Hiking Shoes recently after LOVING Keen's other shoes/boots (Targee); These are very disappointing- light, hard, just a cheaply made version of the better quality hiking shoes Keen has made. Why even bother to make these?? idk
