Built with a Positive Angle AERGON grip, the Peak AntiShock Trekking Poles incorporate a positive angle into the right/left specific hand grips to maintain a more neutral ergonomic wrist and hand position, resulting in exceptional comfort, security and precise tip placement that is enhanced with an Integrated strap. For a secure shaft adjustment, a Super Lock System that uses a wide thread pattern and steep-angled lock mechanism provides quick and easy changes. This section joint lock is up to 60 times more secure, and less prone to loosening while in use. Standard trekking baskets are included and are interchangeable with a simple screw on/off design.

Good all around poles for hiking
XL foam grip important. Bottom section extends out long enough for my height (5'6"). Adjusting takes practice because you think you need them tighter than you actually do, so spent too much time adjusting. Once you learn the finesse of this system, it's sweet. The air shock is quiet. I prefer the old strap (non-locking) system, but it's what I'm used to. To unlock, just pull up on the top strap.
