Perfect Car Camper
We have finally found the perfect car camping / river-trip bag. We initially used a Western Mountaineering bag with a summer coupler for everything including backpacking. Down bags require frequent cleaning when in close contact with sunscreen lathered skin. To extend the life of our pricey WM down bag, I purchased this relatively inexpensive bag for most activities not requiring weight restrictions. We were pleasantly surprised by the roominess for a 5# bag. It is much wider than our opened up down bag, completely covering a double bed with only a slight taper to the footbox. Not many features other than a drawcord opening and snag free zippers (which I imagine are standard on all bags now), but what do you expect from a simple car-camper at this price. Only drawback we found was on most summer nights in the Rockies, one side was too cool, the other too warm, but that can be overcome by adjusting space between you and your partner.
