Outstanding Hat
I purchased two of these hats...one for my son and one for myself and they are very comfortable and very warm. We are having some very cold weather with wind....temperatures are in the single digits. I am wearing my hat outdoors and it is unbelievable how warm it keeps my head. I have had other hats that were heavily insulated and they were not as comfortable or as warm as the compressor. I would highly recommend this hat for others to purchase. I have been purchasing Mountain Hardware clothing for years and this is another winner in my book.

Nice, but not what I'd hoped
I was looking for a super-warm hat for really cold conditions. The problem with this hat is that the lower portion (below the section filled with primaloft) is just a really lightweight fleece. The cold wind just rips right through that fleece part. This leaves my ears cold while the top of my head is toasty. Frustrating...
