Great, Affordable Expedition Weight Pants!
Needed a pair of expedition weight long underwear for back country skiing this year and on a tight budget. These Mountain Hardwear stretch thermals do the trick - fit nicely, no bulk in my boots, very warm, soft and moisture wicking. I'm 5'4" and wear a size 2...just had third baby though, so I'm carrying a few extra lbs. The pants are forgiving, so I'd say they run a touch large, but the small works for me now and probably will be fine if I lose a few lbs.
The perfect tight
I love these tights. I've owned several different versions of these tights and am always thankful Mountain Hardwear continues to make them. The stretch thermal fleece is the perfect weight for being outside in the winter, yet not so warm that you can't wear them in the house. The smooth outside doesn't snag and the fleece inside is nice on the skin. You'd never know there are seams. You might get some slight piling where the fabric rubs against itself ... but it is very minor and only after lots of wear. The best thing about these 'tights' is that they aren't form fitting. Yes, a close fit, but not what I'd call a tight fit. Very, very comfortable.
Great cozy leggings
I wanted something that would keep my legs warm on a long walk in winter cold. These wound up to be excellent. I walked for over an hour in 15 degrees F with a bit of wind and was just fine. Definitely a great purchase.
