Great Backcountry pants
I love the style of these pants. It was nearly impossible to find a pant with a full zip for ventilation and knee pad access, that wasn't made out of stretchy soft shell material. Also it seems that every pant today is super baggy and hangs down in the crotch. I don't mind those pants on the lift, but too much material for hiking. These pants fit great,look good, and are the perfect weight and very functional.

ok
i was looking for pants that i could wear ice climbing in very cold conditions. these have a dense softshell out and a brushed inside. pros: well made, high waist and lack of belt loops make a nice fit with the harness. cons: not very stretchy, wide in the knees. the side zipper also makes the pant stiff, and tends to buckle, which makes it awkward to high-step. articulated knees would have been good.
