Mountain Hardwear Women's Tuja Trench Coat
Clean lines and a sleek silhouette make the Women's Mountain Hardwear Tuja Trench Coat so much more than a traditional duster. Think frosty sleigh rides in the Motherland, or a clandestine meeting in a dingy bar in Reykjavik, underground intrigue meets modern outdoor performance. Batura Soft Shell fabric receives a DWR (durable water repellant) finish to fend off the elements and is bonded to luxuriously warm high-pile fleece for a ridiculous combination of warmth and weather protection. The flattering semi-fitted cut features zippered handwarmer pockets, a hidden zip chest stash pocket, and two zippered internal pockets, one with cord port. Zippered cuffs make sliding the jacket on a cinch, and keep lower layers from bunching. Reviews - Mountain Hardwear Women's Tuja Trench Coat
Great Little Coat
I went ahead and ordered this coat despite what some of the other reviews said about the quality and fit. The quality was excellent on the coat I received and there were no sewing issues. The fit was perfect, I did not notice long arms and I am 5'O and weight slight under 100 lbs. I ordered it in titantium extra small. The color is beautiful and it is urban chic. This coat is neither heavy nor light. It is probably not warm enough for the middle of winter in a snowstorm, as it is a trench coat and not a down parka or coat or fur coat. THe fit is good, not tight but not baggy. It will allow for wearing a business suit or sweater under it . Th material is soft both on the outside and on the inside. Since it is in the middle of the summer and I have not worn it yet, I can't rate is waterproofability or wind proofness. I usually wear either xs or s in mountain hardwear jackets and tops. The xs of this particular coat is plenty roomy. Since I bought it on sale it was a great value. There are few other coats which are so functional and chic at the same time. Thumbs up mountain hardwear.
Love the look!
This coat is so much nicer in person than in the on line photos. I am so happy that I took took the chance to order it without trying it on. The arms are long, but so are mine, so I feel it fits perfectly. I am 5ft 5in. and I weigh 125lbs. I took a size small. If I wanted to wear a large sweater or fleece underneath it, I would need the next size, but it seems warm enough that I will probably do just fine with a thin turtleneck under it. This is the perfect cool weather rain coat at an amazing price.
I bought this coat to bridge the work/play gap that was lacking. It's very comfortable and easily goes to the office and is a nice car coat with the double zipper. I have not yet tested it's warmth in the horrible New England weather. I ordered a small based on the other reviews (5'5" and 133lbs) and found the coat fits nicely with thin sweaters, but there is not a whole lot of extra room. I typically wear a small in MH stuff....
