I used this on day hiking, backpacking trips, and during work. I bring this with me whenever I am out in the wilderness because it is small and portable to carry instead of carrying a load of water. It fills a 1 liter bottle in less then a minute because of its design allowing it to filter on both the up and down strokes. Just remember to get a silt-filter, this is great for keeping the SweetWater from getting clogged. MSR makes quailty stuff.

gets your water clean
It's prity simple, pump water out of stream and into your bottle. Gets it clean. I also purchased a pre filter. They say it makes it last longer, but I haven't had it long enouph to know how true that is. for the price, you cant go wrong

Owner for six years. Used it under trying conditions in hiking and camping trips in Ghana, Africa. Easy to use and travel with. Never failed and I never got sick. Left it in Africa and purchased a new one yesterday. Strongly recommended. Bullet proof.
