NRS Standard Open Oarlock

These basic oarlocks are excellent for recreational use in class III and lower rivers. Heavy-duty industrial-grade bronze-alloy ship screws are recycled to produce these strong oarlocks. The 5/8" diameter, 3-1/2" long shaft is precision-turned and drilled for a split ring. The horn opening is 1-5/8" with a 2-3/8" inside diameter. Oarlocks include Split Ring keepers.

Great oarlocks and best price
I've been using these oarlocks for years and have never had a major problem. Once I was popping oars but I was able to easily deal with that by tightening the gap with a vise (make sure it isn't too tight so the oar still fits) Everything ultimately bends or breaks, my wife had one of these bend slightly while stuck for half an hour on the Little Green Wall but it still functioned and got her through the river before we even noticed. I would prefer to teak a $25 oarlock than break an oar shaft worth 5x that. We have never felt a need for the more expensive oarlocks, even when rowing the Illinois River (which we do a lot).
