Great Suit
Nice fit and good for those with longer arms and legs. Lightweight compared to most other suits and greater flexibility. Good for kayaking in cooler climates.

Excellent wetsuit!
I love to paddle my surfski (just started about a year ago) but hate being cold, whether it's from the air temperature/wind, water getting into the seat area, or from "going swimming"! I'd always end up cutting my paddling time short if I fell in and got cold. I tried using my triathlon wetsuit for paddling and that didn't work out (too much restriction with the long sleeves, it would bunch up at the hip crease, and the outer surface of the wetsuit would make my butt stick in the seat whether or not I used a seat pad) With this farmer jane from NRS, there's no arm restriction, my hips can pivot in the seat, I don't feel the relief zipper at all, and my butt bones appreciate the padding of the 3mm neoprene! I initially bought a Small through REI (no XS was available through them) but it was way too big -besides being baggy through the torso there were 6 inches of excess shoulder height (3 inches front, 3 inches back) Even though I can sew and alter garments, no way did I want to tackle that! So I returned it and bought the XS through Altrec and I'm glad I did! I'm 5-1, vary between 105-108#, inseam 28"...measurements are 33-26-34. The fabric stretches very well: I can get into it easily, and the ankle zippers are a big help, especially when taking off the wetsuit (I don't "feel" them either when I'm paddling.) No restriction at the armhole; I don't know about chafing at the armholes as I use a short sleeve rashguard under it vs. sleeveless rashguard or just a swimsuit top (usually I just wear compression shorts, a sport bra/swim top and a rashguard under the wetsuit) I was using NRS' hydroskin pants, a 3mm BodyGlove wetsuit vest, long sleeve hydrosilk shirt and booties over the winter, but there were days I didn't go paddling because I'm a cold wimp. This farmer jane will let me go paddling all winter! I probably will have to get a shorty, though, because I got too hot today (early June, ocean was 62F, air 65F) and I capsized on purpose just to cool off. I was hesitant to get a farmer john type wetsuit, because it seemed easier to have pants, and a top vs. a one piece (But I have found out that my core stays warmer in a one piece wetsuit, even when I get knocked off by swells/waves, but especially AFTER I get off the water: when washing off the surfski, and loading it on the car roof in the wind. I'd even consider using this snorkelling, and for swim workouts in the open ocean when I don't need sleeves. I definitely recommend this product!

Last Years Model - Ultra Jane
I have last years model of this suit and am going to return it to REI. I ordered the XL. I am 5'9 and 178 lbs. It fits fine but the armholes when paddling rub against my shoulder. I think they re-designed it perhaps for that reason, however NRS would not admit to that. But it does appear that the newer design has inlaid another piece of material around the armhole.
