Great Pack!
This is an excellent backpack. I've had it for about a year now and used it on many outings. It's very durable; having dropped it many times in dirt there is not the slightest evident of wear. The aluminum frames can take a beating and still retain their original form. Seams are still holding together as are the zippers. The pack is sealed really well keeping out the rain even without a rain cover. The support straps are really easy to tighten or loosen while wearing the pack allowing you to adjust for comfort as you hike. It has a relatively low profile making it easier to duck under overhead obstacles (ie trees). The padding is well vented to help deal with sweat keeping your back relatively dry. Lastly, the pack is very comfortable. When adjusted properly it feels like the backpack is an extension of your back and works very cohesively with your body. I typically carry 45-60 pounds of gear with this pack. It's difficult for me to think of any cons; perhaps some of the straps are a little long adding a few ounces of weight but that can be resolved easily.

Perfect Choice
I bought this Backpack for the purpose to do several 4 to 5 day backpack trips in the Sierra's. My experiece with my Osprey day pack lead me to purchase Osprey once again. The features that I love is the ergo hip belt, frame and the detachable fanny pack. This was a plus on my first back pack trip to Mt Whitney from the west side. I'm over six foot tall and about 210 lbs. the pack weight about 45lbs and I experinced no problems. The vertical zip access into the main body was very helpfull in reaching clothing for layering. My son wants to borrow it and we are the same height , I'm sure he will want one of his own also.

Great Pack
Purchased this pack and decided to go up to the next largest size but only because i am taking a 2 week trip in a few months. This pack has plenty of room for both weekend trips as well as week long expeditions. Great features and low weight make it ideal for any trip. Plus the detacahble lumbar pack and hydration harness make it great for scrambles or summit attempts. Do yourself a favor and hit the purchase button now
