Time and Travel Will Tell
I was impressed with the bag upon receipt - light-weight, great features, easy to pack, carry and roll. After taking it on its first trip however, I was disappointed to see that the frame was bent and it showed more than a couple of flights worth of wear. After my return flight, the bag leaned over, close to tipping when I tried to stand it up. At first I thought that might be due to uneven packing, but upon examination and trying to stand it up empty, it was clear that the frame was out of whack. I returned the bag to Osprey, in accordance with the terrific "almighty guarantee." Although I promptly received a brand new bag, I was sorry not to have received any kind of note reassuring me that my experience had been unusual. I don't believe that I overloaded or abused the bag in any way, though I can't speak for what happened during American Airlines luggage handling; it is a checked bag size. If the bag comes bag from my next trip in similar shape, I will be looking to return, not replace it. As good as the almighty guarantee is, it is the responsibility of the owner to bear the cost of shipping back to Osprey and a large box is not cheap to send. I would like to own a sturdy bag, not rent a flimsy one. Here's hoping.
