Great pack
I bought this to replace a bigger and older pack. I needed something large and light. This os the perfect pack! You can fit a lot of stuff in here. It works great on my hikes through Nevada. So far it is holding up well. I bought the nikwax treatments for this pack too. I would reommend treating the pack to protect your gear and investment.

The Best Light Weight Pack I've Owned!
The Talon 44 is a great easy to use backpack. I found it quite roomy holding all my gear for a week. Love that it is so lightweight, has side pockets on the hep belt and has a zipper for getting in the bottom of the pack so you don't have to dig down. The floating pocket on top of the pack is perfect for large loads. I also own the Talon 11 and love the fact that it holds up to wear and tear. I wouldn't expect anything less of the 44. Don't leave home with out an Osprey!

Great overall pack
This backpack is very versatile! If you want one pack that can do numerous activities, this may be the one. This pack has been awesome for 4+ days backpacking in the Cascades and Sierra Mountains, in winter and summer. I also travel a lot with it on the plane, as it is can fit in the overhead compartment very well (not filled to the max but pretty close) letting you go with only a carry on. I also use it for day trips climbing. Everything fits a rope, draws and or trad gear, lunch, water and clothes with no problem and is comfortable. One problem is that this is a light weight pack = thin fabric. I have already patched my pack twice, but still love it and would recommend to anyone.
