Does what it is supposed to do!
I have used this rain cover in size small on both my 2 Osprey day packs (24l and 32l). I have been caught many times in serious downpours. I believe there is no such thing as bad weather just the wrong gear. And this gear works perfectly. The elastic cord around the edges holds it in place and the snap closure holds it to the pack. I am not sure if it would fit a much larger pack in the small size though as 32l is close to the full coverage. If something ever happens to this one I would buy another Osprey cover and not a generic; unless you plan never to use it. It also weights next to nothing.

typhon
I just spent 3 weeks in the Philippines and this rain cover was the only thing that stopped my new cannon t3i camera from being destroyed. i used this cover on my statos pack during a typhon and it kept all the content nice and dry!

Works great.
Used it for a hike up mt kilimanjaro and spent a day in fog and mist. no hard rain, but it worked great including with a set of trekking poles strapped to the bad. one thing to remember though is that most covers don't cover the armstraps of your pack which will get wet.
