Great
This jacket is exactly what I was looking for. A lightweight rain jacket that looks nice enough to wear around town, but is durable enough to take up on the trails. Jacket performs amazingly, never been wet with it on, and coming from the northwest this is an accomplishment. Jacket breathes well, especially with the arm vents open and the pockets unzipped. Overall a great purchase.

Excellent for warm weather rain protection or layering for snow
Stitches are excellent quality with seam tape. Zippers are easy to open/close, but still have waterproofing. Stow away hood is great, but can be a little poofy if you just wad it up instead of fold it. Great waterproof layer for snow or ECWCS systems, but still light enough to be used in a warm rain all alone. I would definitely recommend this product to friends. High quality construction blew me away.

Fabulous jacket
I was looking for a waterproof light shell that I could use both for casual use and for technical activity and the understated OR Elixir fits the bill! This jacket replaces my Mountain Hardwear Aiguille parka and it's superior to the MH in every way except in weight. The fabric is much quieter too. I do prefer the slimmer fit of the MH, but the relaxed fit of the Elixir doesn't bother me. I can lament the exploding obesity problem which seems to be trickling down to all American clothes... even gear designed for relatively active outdoorsmen.
