Really good
I picked these up to replace some other brands; I've used MH, Helly, EMS, Columbia. I've only taken them out for one weekend, but after a weekend, I have to say that these rise above. The material is crazy soft and light and comfy, not swishy-sounding. Feels like they will be really durable. Comfortable fit, The waist is perhaps a touch large, but the rest was more streamlined -- not as all around baggy as a lot of the competition, but not too slim either. Zippers all work right, not sticky or jammy. They don't have cargo pockets or zippered pockets, which isn't ideal. Basically, there are 70 different pants you could buy to serve this purpose. I haven't tried every one, but I can say that these rise to the top of the ones I've tried. The fit, the feel, the construction -- they're just a cut above.

Nice quality and styling
I bought the convertible trou for world travel (due to their light weight and ever-decreasing foreign carry-on weight restrictions) and hiking in different regions. The styling and quality are such that I feel comfortable wearing them to dinner, etc., as well as hiking. After looking at the styling (front & back pocket styles, tailoring, fabric, etc.) of other convertible trou in a store, I'm pleased with my choice. They could use a zippered pocket, but at least the front pockets are fairly deep. The inseam on my 34W's was 31.5" as the fabric lay loose and 32" stretched. The zippers worked well.

very good outdoor pants
This is my second Equinox Convertible Pants, I like its attention to detail, for example: zipper colors different for each leg, DWR finish, lightweight, Drawcord ankle adjustments, UPF 50+, etc. Don't overlook all those combination, I find that quite hard to have them all in another pants. When I carefully checking all the parts like pocket inside before I writing this review, they are surprisingly still in very good condition after 2 years usage.
