Great active sport jacket
This jacket is great for shoulder season active wear when you need a bit of durability. It's perfect for spring/summer backcountry skiing, and for mild weather climbing/mountaineering. By fitting small, I mean it has a nice trim fit that complements an athletic build, but still allows light layering underneath, like a thin puffy/fleece vest. Works well with the Ferrosi pants for the same activities.

Great All-Season Softshell!
I've had the Ferrosi Hoodie for about a year and a half now and it has definitely held up. I use it for a spring jacket and it light rain as it is water repellent. I have gotten a chance to be in a downpour in this jacket it held up well for about half an hour then there was some slight leak through. I've also used this jacket snowboarding on warmer winter days with a couple base layers and it worked out great! It's breathable, wind resistant (but definitely not wind proof), and has good stretch for a full range of motion. It also has a fairly athletic fit which I like. The hood fits snugly allowing for my helmet to be worn over it. Also, there is no lining in this jacket making it thin and packable into its own pocket. I highly recommend this jacket for it's variety of uses!

Have not had it in hurricane force winds, but a wind you could lean into, and i was amazed at how well it did. Had been skeptic of soft shells, but this is great. Light, and thin. You can throw a warm layer over it or layer up apropriatly undreneath. It does breath well, put in good time on the up track dosen't necisarily have you sweting too much, or at all, but the wind protection prevents the rapid cool down, great product. It is not everyday as water resistant is a generous rating
