Outdoor Research Men's Ferrosi Windshirt
Perfect for a spring skate ski, a high elevation hike or an exposed climb in less than optimal conditions, the Outdoor Research Ferrosi Windshirt for men is able to block chilly wind and a light drizzle but is never too hot. Made from ultra light, stretchy nylon ripstop fabric, this wind breaker has mesh panels under the arms to help vent excess heat that are treated with Polygiene to control odor. Reviews - Outdoor Research Men's Ferrosi Windshirt
The OR Ferrosi line is one of the most durable, unique blend of material ever put into a product. I owned multiple products from this line and I am not disappointed with any item. The ability to move in all directions in this top makes it very easy to tackle some of the tougher challenges in the outdoors.
Very good windshirts
This OR windshirt is slightly smaller fit than other jackets (NF, Patagonia, Arcteryx, Mountain Hardware). I am 5-10 and 160lb and Medium fits perfect to me. I mostly wear small jackets for NF and Patagonia. I wanted to have a windshirt for early morning workouts or windy day golfing. This Ferrosi Windshirt is perfect for my purposes. This one is very light and thin. it is like a paper thin but it does its job. With thin layer this windshirt replaces my NF Apex Bionic Jacket. Perfect for any mild weather with layers.
Being tall and thin, I love the long sleeves and the stretch in this shirt. It has an athletic fit. Thin fabric has just the right amount of stretch and seems durable so far. The cut is of the shirt is so good that it hardly feels like it is on meaning that there is little or no resistance to arm movements. I use a thin base layer under it and it is perfect combo for cool activities. My shirt is the Cairn color which will be great for spring ski tours in the hot sun. Downside is the strange side zipper ("for easy on/off") which might be felt under a waist belt of a pack. I simply removed it and sewed a new side seam and have no trouble getting the shirt on and off. Recommended.
