great x-c skiing glove
love this for skate skiing in the winter - keeps your fingers warm and is flexible and roomy enough to be able to handle your poles and clip in and out of bindings.

Toasty Fingers @ 10 Degrees
First time I've tried mittens, and these sure did the job! A little heavier than some I've looked at, but plenty of room in the finger area. I'm between a large and x-large glove and large fit just fine.

Excellent mittens
These mittens are light weight, warm enough for winter hiking when the temperature isn't too low, wind proof, and a great value. I suffer with Raynaud's Syndrome (cold hands from faulty internal thermostat) and I have a pair of OR Northwall mittens for serious cold or when my hands get too cold or wet. However, I rarely use them, mostly using the PL 400s. My only "issue" is that I put a run in the fabric early on bushwacking through some thickets. In time I'll get a better sense if the fabric on the mittens is a bit too fragile for tougher hikes/snowshoes off trail.
