Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Jacket

A mountain and life-style classic, the Men's Nano Puff Jacket from Patagonia earns an overwhelming thumbs-up for versatility, surprising warmth and terrific all-around performance in a superlight, no-frills package. It's weather-resistant enough to wear as an insulated shell in a dense snowstorm, trim enough to pull on for chilly days spent on the rocks, and warm enough for spring days spent slope-side. The wind-blocking, moisture-shedding DWR (durable water repellent) finished 100% all-recycled polyester shell (1-oz 15-denier) sheds the elements effortlessly and can be worn on its own or as a midlayer. Low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible PrimaLoft One (60 g) traps heat with remarkable efficiency even when wet and packs down to practically nothing to stuff into a single chest pocket for easy transport. The deep front zipper allows for easy ventilation while the dual adjust drawcord hem keeps the elements out and the warmth in. Made of recycled materials and through environmentally conscience means, the Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket for men is recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

Excellent lightweight jacket
Patagonia has a great product. It was shipped very quickly and is amazingly lightweight. Terrific for wearing under rain proof gear or by itself in moderate weather.

Best Lightweight Jacket I Own
I was looking for a Patagonia Nano Puff jacket all winter but couldn't justify retail cost. Had already tried on and knew my size. Patagonia measurement quidelines are fairly accurate. I am 5'7"/135 lb and comfortably wear a medium. When Altrec put the item on sale, I jumped on the opportunity to purchase (thank you Altrec!!). It is the most comfortable item of clothing I own. I wore it as a sole outer layer for Vermont spring skiing; as a supplemental layer when really cold; and my first choice for walks and evenings out. How something so light can be so warm is unbelievable. I also tried on the North Face Blaze Micro which looks and feels comparable to the Patagonia Nano. I liked the additional features of an inner zip pocket and waist drawstring on the Nano, but probably would have been happy with the North Face product. I did not comment on durability given the short time I have owned the product, but my other Patagonia sportswear lasts forever.

First off, I'm 5'9'' and around 155 lbs. I originally bought the Nano Puff in a small. According to the size chart, that was what I needed. The small was perfect everywhere but in the length. It was just a tad too short. I sent it back and got the medium. The medium was perfect in length but just a little long in the arms but I can handle that. I have worn the jacket in pouring rain and in temps down to around 35. It performed as advertised on both occasions. It shed water and kept me warm and dry. I got the Paint Brush Red which is actually like a blaze orange. Overall, I like the Nano Puff and I am pleased with my purchase. It is comfortable, very light weight, warm and stylish. I wish it had a hood but I couldn't make myself spend the money on the hooded version. Maybe next year.
