Patagonia Men's Ultra Lightweight Merino Rider Socks

The airy Men's Ultra Lightweight Merino Rider Socks from Patagonia have a featherweight, noncushioned blend of soft Merino wool and nylon for exceptional breathability, a cooling airflow and rugged durability. A mesh half-arch under the foot provides a snug, no-slip fit, and the looped Lintoe construction creates the smallest and flattest toe seam possible for turning comfort. Excellent stretch and recovery lasts the lifetime of the socks; an over-the-calf fit protects lower legs from big ski boots.

  • Fabric: 51% Merino wool/45% nylon/4% spandex
  • Chlorine-free Merino/nylon blend is itch-free and maintains durability for the lifetime of the socks
  • Excellent stretch and recovery
  • Over-the-calf height
  • Un-cushioned footbed for warmer conditions and closer fitting boots
  • Mesh half-arch brace provides subtle support for a snug fit
  • Looped Lintoe® construction creates the smallest and flattest seam possible for ultimate comfort
  • Formfitting
  • Weight: 68 g (2.4 oz)

Quality socks
Comfy, durable socks. I like them for snowboarding and hiking. It's no wonder why Patagonia has a good reputation.

Merino is the new standard
These improve on the wool of days gone by because they are comfortable against the skin and thus it is reasonable to wear them for for activities of days on end sweating and not sleeping... boots come off for a nap, socks dry out on your foot...go on and on in relative "comfort." Wool seems to delay the onset of immersion foot as compared to synthetics and the noxious unbearable odor is gone too. Thorlos were my gold standard for years and those are now going in the trash. (Some of them I threw away for smell alone.) I use these as a liner sock with heavy boots and simply on their own with close-fitting rock shoes. The durability is less than a synthetic because polyester seems to last forever. Highly recommended.

Comfy, warm & lightweight
I have had these socks for a few weeks - was looking for lightweight socks to wear under dress boots (I'm female, living in a country where it can be cold inside buildings as well as outside), to keep me warm while on work trips. So far they've provided what i needed - lightweight warmth.
