The best jacket I have ever purcahsed.
I have worn Five jackets from very famous brand for years and none of them made me happy. Too thin, no warmth, too slim, too short, too much warmth, and recent one has no durability. After years of experience, I finally decided to switch to Patagonia, and I was right!!! Despite of March, rain is expected next five days in San Francisco and today's rain was very very cold but I wore T-shirts and grabbed this jacket to go out in rain. Even this jacket is insulated, the weight is very light and doesn't make me sweat or no need to seek ventilation. I used to attach or wear extra fleece to keep warmth when I wear my previous jacket. I even wore double jackets to keep me warm when I went to Yosemite during winter. But I probably only need to have this jacket in SF and only need to add some inner for Yosemite. I finally found a perfect jacket suitable for Bay Area weather. I really like an adjustment loop (back of a hood) of a hood. The hood stays in my head very nicely and a visor help me to keep visibility. I have never thought about effectiveness of the hood for other jackets because it has never stayed on my head. But the weather was very very bad today, and I depended on this jacket more than an umbrella. Color is very nice. Strangers gave me a compliment about Magenta. Good size of Internal pockets. Able to avoid carrying extra stuff if free hands are desirable. 4"11 BMI 23.3. purchased XS. My upper arm often not fit with slim design clothing, but no need to worry about this jacket.

So Good!
This is a my first order at altrec.com. I bought this jacket for my mother's birthday present. She loved this jacket especially the color and durability.

Highly recommended
Love the fit and ease of movement this jacket provides! I had sworn off althletic jackets because of the stiffness that are common in waterproofing the garment. Glad I gave it a second chance!
