The Fierce Jr. features a rugged-but-lively Aspen wood core for enhanced durability and resilient ABS sidewalls. Despite these durable features, the Fierce Jr. retains a long-lasting, snappy flex through a series of internal biaxial, low density fiberglass strips. Salomon uses this special low density fiber design in snowboards that are small, light and intentionally designed for extra pop--but the Fierce Jr. also has a forgiving quality that stiffer snowboards often sacrifice, so it can be an excellent platform for progression. Beneath everything is Salomon's P-Tex 900 base, a low-maintenance surface that's finished with a medium stone finish that improves glide in all snow conditions.
