After a ton of shopping, research, and trying boots on, I purchased the Salomon Faction with the locking lace system and found those to be extremely comfortable on the mountain. However, the first weekend out the lacing system broke and I returned them. I decided to try another brand's faction system in a stiffer boot, thinking that since I was getting better on the board, the stiffer boot would improve board's response. I was wrong! The new boots absolutely killed my feet. I tried to mold them, bought insoles, and basically suffered for three weeks in a row. Finally, I found that the Faction came with the boa system and bought them online. My foot pains immediately went away and I actually don't need to bring a change of shoes to the slopes now. These are comfortable enough to wear home. Also I really like that their boas tighten around the calf on the foot...many other boas tighten around the foot first, which makes the bottom too tight and the top too loose. These new boots rock! Only con is that I've noticed the outer pleather material is already starting to wear after just a couple of weeks. It's purely cosmetic but surprising to see that happen so fast. Even though these are soft boots, my awesome Ride bindings make the board completely responsive. If you have high arches like I do or have been experiencing foot pain, I would definitely recommend you try the Salomons.

Awesome boot!
I have purchased this boot from Altrec and I love them. I tend to have a narrow foot and these boots fit me very well. The Boa system is the way to go because the "laces" do not loosen up after a few runs. Love these boots and they are pretty stylish as well.
