The Lotus is a female-specific, directional-shaped board with a radial sidecut that helps it turn predictably on varied snow conditions, even on changing terrain. Salomon's Lotus offers a stable and predictable flex that inspires confidence both heel-side and toe-side, so new riders have a better chance mastering both turns with minimal mistakes. To help keep those beginners upright, Salomon applied a Critical Edge Bevel to the edges, de-tuning the sharp sides along critical zones at the tips and wide points for more predictable turning. Beneath everything is a low-maintenance S-Glide 900 base that offers excellent glide--even if you don't have time to apply wax or any sort of tuning prior to heading up to the mountains.

awesome beginner board!!
I have been snowboarding and renting boards on and off for a few years. This is my first snowboard and I have taken it to Utah and tore up some serious snow. (partially due to the operators awesome skills) This board handles like a snowy dream for beginners. Has a solid core, very durable, and beautifully styled. I have had a lot of complements as well.
