good boots if you want something really light
Comfy and extremely light, almost like slippers - yet good for trudging through pretty deep snow. Easy to get in and out of. And best of all is Altrec's unbelievable service!

Sierra Designs hit the jackpot ...
I've been trying to find a lightweight camp boot for cold weather backpacking .. Sierra Designs is right on target .. 1 lb for the pair .. goose down for warmth, waterproof AND a rugged bottom so you can walk around camp at night or in the morning warm and comfortably. Amen Sierra Designs! So glad I discovered this boot! Altrec had a great price too!

Great Boots
I bought these boots for my independent, 85 yr. old mother for Christmas. I liked that they are lightweight, soft, very warm, easy to slip on and off, and have big treads for sure-footedness in the northern Ohio snow. Mom wears size 7, so I ordered Small. The result: they are a bit wide for her feet, but other than that, Mom loves them! She has already been out in the snow a few times, and has been very happy with how warm these boots keep her feet, their softness, comfort, good treads and how easy they are to slip on & off. She also likes the 2 drawstrings that conform the boot more to her feet. Mom is a fussy person to please - so I could not be happier!
