These socks are the perfect weight for wearing with clogs, lace up shoes, and loafer type styles or under low or high boots in moderate climates like Northern California. They are soft and comfortable but hold their shape like most Smart Wool products. In black, they do not attract lint excessively like some fabrics or other wools, and don't pill or produce fuzz when washed. I do wash inside-out as the instructions suggest. They are a nice close fit, but not tight. Really pleased with the purchase.

I really like these socks! These are not the kind of socks that are going to keep you extremely warm at -25 degree weather, but they are great for a step-up everyday sock. The colors are versitle and attractive, matching many of my outfits. And even though they are more thin than other SmartWool socks I have, my feet don't get so sweaty as they do in other socks. I would definitely recommend these to others!

Smartwool socks first entered our house when we bought a pair for our son. He loved them, and we loved the fact that wash after wash the socks stayed intact and kept his feet dry. Over the last month we have purchased 14 additional pairs of socks for the family and wear them for work and play. Highly recommended. Your feet will feel comfortable and dry and never too warm.
