If only I were a child!
I love love this jacket. I bought it in an xl because I have been able to buy xl kids in other North Face coats but this one ran really small. Since I was returning it I tried to find a similar coat in womens but they don't exist. The Animagi is close but doesn't have the oso sleeves. I love how soft the oso is and thought this would work but it didn't. So sad. Anyway if you are looking for a lightweight jacket for those warmer winter days or early spring, this would be great.

Girls' Oso Animagi Hoodie
I bought this for my 12 yr old daughter who is 95lbs and 5'1". I bought the XL size based on another review that stated it ran small. Normally my daughter wears a size 12 on top, or small at Aeropostale. The XL 18/20 fits pretty well, and my fingers are crossed that she will get 2 years out of it. (I also have a 9 yr old, so if not it will be handed down!). This is my first purchase of the Northface brand. The jacket was surprisingly thin, the taffeta very soft and supple. The fleece is super soft as well. My daughter really likes the jacket and claims it is warm. She hates bulky jackets so I was hoping this would do the trick for the winter but I think she will also need a coat. (We live in NY). The hood kind of covers her eyes when she puts it on, maybe a little big. Nice pockets on the outside, and one inside as well.

Not what I expected
Purchased a girl's size XL, since general reviews for The North Face products state that a girl's XL fits a smaller woman. Don't follow that rule for this jacket! The arms were WAY to short - basically, it looked like it shrunk in the wash! I also thought it would be more "heavy duty" - seems more like an early fall or late spring jacket to me....which, in Chicago, would only be used for about 3 weeks of the year. I have purchased from Altrec before...and this is the first time I was disappointed. I am returning it...maybe I will luck out and find something for my daughter after all... *fingers crossed*
