These boots have the classic good looks and the aggressive tread I was looking for. I've used them on the trail several times, and wear them on day to day business. They required little break in and seem to be holding together well. A very good boot.

Well I'm from Texas and we don't have no snow down here, but going to NY in 2 weeks and I know its covered with snow, so I wanted something with proven quality and durability while keeping my feet warm and safe. Read reviews and decided on this brand and picked this model. Arrived today and I wear it all day today while its 75 degrees outside and I'm still comfortable and flexible. I have to tell you bottoms are high, so it added an inch (to my height ;) but I feel really sturdy and non-slippery. its comfortable, you can wear it all day, hot or cold I bet. As soon as you touch it, you feel this is very high quality product. Sizing is pretty accurate, I don't think you need to buy extra half number bigger size because of a thicker socks, I did and I won't return it but it would be OK to get the same number with your comfy sports shoes. Best Boots ever!!!!
My husband, a former recreational skydiver, had a near catastrophic skydiving accident. His balance was severly impaired because his right foot was nearly destroyed. He must always wear boots that give support to his very damaged right foot. He is 15 years out from the accident and suffers constantly from post-traumatic arthritic changes. I picked out the North Face boots for him because of the description of the boots with all the technology that went into them seemed to meet his needs perfectly. The boots, in fact, are THE VERY BEST, SUPPORTIVE, AND TECHNOLOGICALLY CREAT that he has ever worn!! We will definitely buy from Altrek again.
