Guys, I have a relatively athletic build for my age (60) and have had the same waist size (34) for over 20 years. These pants, or at least the current manufacturing run, are a tight 34 inches around the waist. I absolutely like the material, workmanship, finish and sizing - other than the waist. Considered taking the pants to a tailor, but there is no additional material in the waistband to allow for an adjustment to widen. Unfortunately, I will not be exchanging for a size 36 - not only because they are not available in the color I want, but more because these pants are proportioned very nicely and going to a larger waist would oversize the legs and bottom openings - as mentioned in an earlier review of these pants.

Terrific purchase...I'm very happy
These pants are comfortable and fit well. I've already used them for hiking in warm weather and in cool weather and they are terrific. I plan to use them all winter by layering up fleece or other tights under them. And I love all of the usable pockets. I highly recommend them.

Excellent light weight pants
These pants fit well and are light weight. I use them in the summer to commute to work in, and they are breathable, yet they stop the wind. They are dressy enough to fit in to a casual office, yet they are ready to hit the bouldering problems right after work. They move well and I'd buy another pair of them in a second.
