very good bag
i highly recommend this bag. It is very durable and fits lots of volume at a fairly reasonable place. The durability is easily the best. With all of the abuse it has carried for over the years, I have never once had to deal with a seem tear, fabric rip, or damaged strap. Nothing has gotten past this pack. The versatility of the pack is good by most standards. The top, bottom, and side entry makes grabbing any gear throughout the pack very easy. The outside top and front pocket are great for carry misc. gear needed to be readily accessed. The sleeping bag compartment however seemed quite small and I have yet to fit a sleeping bag in there. There isnt many places to attach gear on the outside so almost everything has to fit within the pack.

Excellent pack
I loved this pack. Easy access, good size/capacity, flexible where needed and very sturdy at the back. The velcro loop was very handy - I was able to hang my axe with ease. Love the support and suspension system.

Good Pack
I have used this pack for cross-country travel here in the US. I have also used this pack for a four day backcountry trip. It was very durable and held everything that I needed it to. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had some straps for carrying a sleeping bag. I would definitely recommend this item.
