The North Face Women's Deering Soft Shell Jacket

Great jacket! All the features, none of the bulk
I love this jacket. It's maxed out on waterproof/breathability but it's lightweight. Thumb holes are awesome, particularly if you have long arms and are constantly exposing your wrists. I'm 5'11" and small framed. I normally wear a small but ordered the medium for some extra length in the arms... it was a good call. Things I love: Great powder skirt, the off center zip is great but doesn't look weird like some other jackets do w/ this feature. Nice sized stash pocket on inside. There's a goggle cloth on the pocket on the arm which is super handy. It is a bit tailored which is awesome as most ski jackets are shapeless. Things to be improved: Nothing. I'm wearing this on a ski trip in early Feb '10. If it doesn't perform brilliantly then I'll re post w/ an update...if you don't hear from me again then it's perfect.

love this jacket. fits a little smaller than i assumed, but it does have a fitted cut. very comfortable, keeps me warm. this wrist cuffs are sweets because they have thumb hole. you can use them, or tuck them away. inside pocket has a spot for my ipod and head phones to go thru. wrist pocket is key, and the goggle cloth acts as a nice glasses cleaner. overall, a hip jacket. I've received lots of complements
