Reviews - The North Face Women's Inlux Insulated Jacket
Great jacket for straight-up-and-down people
If you're like me, tall, with long arms and a long torso, you'll like this jacket. If you have bigger hips or a shorter frame, you might not. Like one other reviewer mentioned, I'm ~5'8" and ~148 pounds, and the Medium fits me great. The sleeves are long enough for my strangely long arms. It seems slim cut around the bottom, which I love because it keeps cold air from getting in AND makes for a slimmer silhouette. (There's nothing more annoying than having to buy a size up to make sure the arms are long enough only to find out you're swimming in the body portion!) In fact, this jacket lays nice and flat across the stomach, which I think is partly due to the stiffer material on the outside. The fur-lined areas are cozy and warm, the pockets are lined and warm, and the hood even has a little insulation, which is a nice touch. I've mostly been wearing the jacket in 30s and 40s F, and it's plenty, plenty warm. The zippers are a bit stiff, but I'm fine with that because I feel like it means they're better quality. Also, because of the material, it's a bit noisy when you move around, but that may fade a bit with time, who knows. I've had North Face jackets before, and they're great quality. Should last you quite a while.
Purchased jacket for my wife and she loved it. Very warm but not too bulky. Nice female cut. Runs a bit small so not much room for baselayers though..
I love this jacket especially the fleece insulation. The jacket fits true to size and I feel you get great warmth without the bulk or weight. I would highly recommend this jacket to any woman who enjoys wearing a jacket that delivers the warmth without making you look bulky.
