Thermarest TrailSeat

After hiking or trekking a handful of miles up a trail the last thing you want to do is sit on a soggy log or a frozen hunk of granite. The Therm-A-Rest Trail Seat provides rest stop warmth and extra padded comfort on lunch stops and water breaks. It's made with the same material and open-cell foam padding found in the Therm-A-Rest Expedition mattresses, the warmest and most comfortable trail pad in the Trek and Travel collection.

  • Self-inflating design with 1.75-in. open cell foam pad
  • Compact rolled dimensions are superb for day hikes
  • Open dimensions: 12 x 16 x 1.25 in. (31 x 41 x 3 cm.)
  • Rolled dimensions: 13 x 2.75 in. (33 x 7 cm.)
  • Weight: 6 oz. (170 g.)

Thermarest is the BEST
This is one more thermarest cushion to add to my collection. I have a number of lumbar cushions that I use for multiple pain prevention purposes (to sit on, to lay on between the middle of my back at a low inflation, to brace my back in the car, to use in public seats (restaurants, movies, lectures, church). I almost never find a ergonomically correct seat and thermarest is light to carry, it folds up and can be used anywhere. I purchased this trailseat to give a wider cushion for sitting on top (e.g. in an airplane flight where the seat cushions are typically weak in the center and throw off the spine by not supporting the sacrum properly. Thermarest solves the problem.

Therma-rest Camp Seat
I use this in the car to cushion and support my back during long drives. It allows me to sit for extended periods by adding or letting out air as needed. An excellent piece of equipment!

Cool
I actually bought this to use on the floor of my tent. I don't have 20 year old knees any more, and I prefer to use them up on climbs not monkeying around for gear on hard tent grounds. Works great. Middle of the night scrounging much easier on the knees with the trail seat at hand.
